A modern and enchanting sterling silver pendant set with Australian solid boulder opal – a remarkable piece that effortlessly blends simplicity and opalescent tones. The almost teardrop shape of the opal measures approximately 18X 7mm and weighs 3.35carats. The stone is encased in a bezel setting to display the beautiful multi colours of the boulder opal. The pendant is displayed on a delicate sterling silver trace chain – sold separately.

Australian solid opals are among the most precious gemstones in the world and are known for their eye-catching beauty and array of vivid colours. They range from 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Solid opal can be worn in water , however they do not like detergents, or any chemicals. It requires care when wearing so as to not scratch or break the stone. There are three different types of Australian solid opal: White Opal from South Australia, Boulder Opal from Queensland and Black Opal from Lightning ridge in New South Wales.
