The sapphire is an emerald cut hat weighs 1.76 carats and measures 7.5mm by 5.86 and is from Anakie in central Queensland. It was found by a husband and wife team, who also had it cut and faceted at the gem fields! This unheated and rare beauty is a perfect addition to your precious stone collection. Most gemstones are heat treated to improve their appearance, so an unheated sapphire is a rare find indeed. There is natural colour banding viewed through the back facets.

Sapphires are a hard gemstone and therefore perfect for wearing every day and are ideal for engagement rings.
