A luxurious sterling silver ring set with a pretty triangular shape boulder opal. The opal measures approximately 12X 10mm with flashes of pin pointed multicolours, set in a simple bezel setting. The boulder opal weighs 1.44 carats. The band of the ring is 3mm, and the ring size is “L.5” US 5 7/8.

Australian solid opals are among the most precious gemstones in the world and are known for their eye-catching beauty and array of vivid colours. They range from 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Solid opal can be worn in water , however they do not like detergents, or any chemicals. It requires care when wearing so as to not scratch or break the stone. There are three different types of Australian solid opal: White Opal from South Australia, Boulder Opal from Queensland and Black Opal from Lightning ridge in New South Wales.
