A lovely 11.5-12mm Tahitian pearl dropping from an 18K white gold fine extender chain. There is a pear shape pave of sparkling diamonds at the top of the pearl drop which weigh approximately 0.15 carat in total. Made in Australia.

Tahitian pearls come in a range of colours from white to black. They can contain various undertones and overtones of green, pink, blue, silver and yellow. The most valuable of these are of the darker variety, as the naturally dark tones of the Tahitian pearls is a unique quality among pearls.

Grown in the oyster called Pinctada Margaritifera unique for its black lip and its notably large size. These saltwater oysters are mainly found in Tahiti and other surrounding Polynesian islands in the Pacific Ocean.
