Tahitian black pearls are grown in the saltwater oyster called Pinctada Margaritifera unique for its black lip and large size. Found in Tahitian Polynesia and other nearby islands they come in a variety of different colours and undertones. Natural High lustred Tahitian black pearls are extremely rare and quite valuable.
