Nambis Necklace Gold by Bilum And Bilas

This piece showcases ancient weaving skills as the pendant is handcrafted by Papua New Guinean female artisans who have inherited their cultural knowledge from their elders. Each piece supports women employed for their traditional skills. The necklace boasts a 25mm handwoven natural fibre disc pendant embellished with beads hanging from a 45cm yellow gold fill or sterling silver fine chain necklace. 

The gold fill won’t wear like plating - its thick layer of gold content is heat bonded to a metal core to ensure its lustre for years to come. The natural fibre is called rapa in local language - similar to sisal plant - hand foraged, processed, and handwoven by artisans in PNG.
