Rutilated Quartz & Grossular Garnet Ring In 18ct

18K yellow gold ring with a rutilated quartz (10.1 x 8.1mm) which weighs 3.36cts & 2x 6mm grossular garnets, which weigh 1.55cts. Band width: 3mm. Ring size is "M.5" US 6 1/4.  Made in Australia.

Rutilated quartz is a variety of quartz which contains needle-like inclusions of rutile. These inclusions mostly look golden, but they also can look silver, copper red or deep black. While otherwise inclusions often reduce the value of a crystal, rutilated quartz is valued for the quality and beauty of these inclusions.

Garnets are available in a variety of colours, except blue, according to mineral differences. Grossular garnet is a variety of garnets that gives us Tsavorite which is available in pale pinks, greens and yellows.
